【摘要】:Theenergyinputratetestisusedtoconfirmthatthegriddleisoperatingproperlypriortofurthertesting.Thetemperatureuniformityofthecookingsurfaceisusedbyfoodserviceoperatorstochooseagriddlethatprovidesauniformlycookedproduct.Preheatenergyandtimecanbeusefultofoodserviceoperatorstomanagepowerdemandsandtoknowhowrapidlythegriddlecanbereadyforoperation.Idleenergyrateandpilotenergyratecanbeusedtoestimateenergyconsumptionduringnoncookingperiods.Cookingenergyefficiencyisapreciseindicatorofgriddleenergyperformanceundervariousloadingconditions.Thisinformationenablesthefoodserviceoperatortoconsiderenergyperformancewhenselectingagriddle.Productioncapacityisusedbyfoodserviceoperatorstochooseagriddlethatmatchestheirfoodoutputrequirements.1.1Thistestmethodevaluatestheenergyconsumptionandcookingperformanceofgriddles.Thefoodserviceoperatorcanusethisevaluationtoselectagriddleandunderstanditsenergyefficiencyandproductioncapacity.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletothermostaticallycontrolled,single-source(bottom)gasandelectricgriddles.1.3Thegriddlecanbeevaluatedwithrespecttothefollowing(whereapplicable):1.3.1Energyinputrate(10.2),1.3.2Temperatureuniformityacrossthecookingsurfaceandaccuracyofthethermostats(10.3),1.3.3Preheatenergyandtime(10.4),1.3.4Idleenergyrate(10.5),1.3.5Pilotenergyrate(10.6),1.3.6Cookingenergyrateandefficiency(10.7),and1.3.7Productioncapacityandcookingsurfacetemperaturerecoverytime(10.7).1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
